It may not be officially summer, but the heat and humidity of summer is definitely here. We've gotten enough rain to keep everything green, which means the grass could be mowed once a week. Which sucks. I hate yardwork. I hate housework. I hate work period. I wish life was simpler, no bills to pay, no debt, no expectations. As hard as life was for people a few hundred years ago, I envy them the simplicity. There is a lot in my life I would change - mostly past decisions. I'm thankful for a lot though so I am not complaining. I love that my cats are such great company for me in a daily basis. As I type, Scully is laying right next to me. She's been by me for the last few hours. Sammy was in the same spot earlier. And Leo was up on my lap before that.
I took this series of photos a couple weeks ago. Cocoa was laying on the window shelf and a red wing blackbird was just inches away on the top of the feeder hook. It was hilarious to watch.
